ELECTRIC PROPULSION - AKER MARINE LOW LOSS CONCEPT (LLC)
Conventional methods and designs of electric propulsion systems have been challenged and our new LLC has fewer components, lower losses, higher redundancy, and is easier to install and operate. We provide low voltage systems for propulsion up to 20MW and medium voltage system where that is preferred or necessary.

VESSEL AUTOMATION - AKER MARINE CONTROL SYSTEM (AMCS)
The AMCS is an Integrated Automation System (IAS) based on standard software and hardware with an advanced functionality. It is a flexible user-friendly system for alarm handling, cargo control and supervision and control of utility systems. An advanced power management system is integrated in AMCS and the LLC. The system is WEB enabled and has open communication interfaces to several third party systems such as diesel engine controllers, maintenance systems, dynamic position systems and fire detection systems.

VARIOUS PRODUCTS - POWER DRIVES FOR PROPULSION, PUMPS, ETC.
Aker Kvaerner Elektro has developed a new generation of frequency converters for propulsion systems. The range varies from 500kW to 5,000kW. Combined with an electric motor the frequency controller and its control system will secure optimal operation of the propulsion system. The same converter series can be used for large pumps and various speed controlled motor drives.

AKER CUBIC - 230V / 450V / 690V SWITCHBOARD AND MOTOR CONTROL CENTRE
Aker Cubic is a low voltage switchboard and motor control centre developed for marine purposes. The design emphasises high quality, safety and ease of operation.

AKER MSS36 - 690V SWITCHBOARD AND MOTOR CONTROL CENTRE
MSS36 is a modularised switchboard system which has been type-tested according to IEC 439-1. The system has been designed to satisfy the most stringent requirements concerning operation reliability and personal safety. The system is entirely developed by Aker Kvaerner Elektro for marine and offshore conditions.

AKER OPERA 6 - 17.5kV SWITCHGEAR
Opera is compact, operator friendly and easy to install. Opera has a fully metal clad bulkhead design in accordance with IEC 298. Opera can also be supplied with or without bulkheads. Opera is deigned with an automatic shutter system on the upper and lower contact assemblies. The shutters are operated by the movement of the switchgear truck and are also lockable.
